President’s Message
ANOTHER ROTARACT CLUB FOR THE WEST
In the afternoon of September 16, 2011, another milestone in the long line of achievements for this Great Club happened. In cooperation with the Southern City Colleges (SCC) and the ROTARACT Club of Zamboanga City West, our Club organized and established the ROTARACT Club of Southern City Colleges.
The day started with the orientation of both the prospective ROTARACTORS and INTERACTORS. The orientation was basically conducted by Rtr. Aldimin "Al" Kalil and Rtr. Bryan "Bry" Callao, President and Vice President of our community based ROTARACT Club of Zamboanga City West respectively.

BARANGAY MARIKI MEDICAL-DENTAL MISSION September 10, 2011 |
|
The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City West, in cooperation with the PCSO, Universidad de Zamboanga Alumni Association, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), Task Force Zamboanga (TFZ), Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) and the Philippine Air Force, conducted the first-ever Medical-Dental Mission in the depressed barangay of Mariki.
The group was well received by the Chairwoman himself Ms. Palma Hasim and her Kagawads.
PP Chalermchat Chun-In of the Rotary CLub of Kanchanaburi of District 3330 Zone 6B, visited the Mariki Elementary School. He was moved by the efforts made by all the stakeholders in said activity and donated 100 dollars to the Club Fund for future undertakings. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much PP Chat.
On hand to assist the group were AG Butch Blanco, PP Oca Zaragosa, PP Emil Aquino, PP Erwin Bernardo, Rtn. Raul Regondola, Rtn. Jun Cortez, and Rtn. Rey Gonzales. Thank you and Congratulations to all those who joined the activity this morning despite the security risk.

The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City - West, through its sister club the Rotary Club of Nam Seongnam of South Korea, turned-over five (5) units of Computers to the Putik Central School. In a turnover ceremony held in the school grounds last September 5, 2011 (Monday), the donation were received by Ms. Carmen M. Saculinggan, Public Schools District Supervisor, and Ms. Lepidaptera T. Villanueva, School Principal, grade 6 advisers and over 500 Grade 6 pupils... who are the direct recipients of these computers for their classroom instructions.
